I've been reading Jeff Commings' blog "Love Across The Miles", if y'all haven't read this yet it's a great read! Jeff works at the Albuquerque Tribune as the webmaster and his blog is about his long-distance relationship with his boyfriend. (How cool is it that the Trib not only has a "relationship blog" but a gay one! That's really progressive!! (IMHO) )

The most recent installation of it really touched me. Jeff talked about the distance between him and his boyfriend, Geoff, and how he wanted to send Geoff flowers because it's been a rough week. It reminded me of a former relationsion, one heck of a long-distance relationship I had and how hard it was to be apart. Although, she was in Australia and I was in Albuquerque, so we were very... very distant.

Jeff sounds like a great guy from what I've read and I hope things work out for him and Geoff! That's where the "Geoff-A-Thon" comes in. (it's a corny name I know, but it's 2:30 in the morning and I'm outta coffee) ;-) If some of the bloggers in ABQ put together a few bucks each we could help Jeff send some really great flowers to the love of his life. Come on y'all, it's good for the karma!
